At the moment I run two classes at Debden Village hall,

Thursday Evening Class      6.45-7.45pm

A lot of people who come to the Thursday class have been attending since my first class 11 years ago! This means that it isn't a beginners class, but good for improvers/ intermediate level -people who have some experience of Pilates. The class is really friendly and relaxed. This class can be busy at times, 12 is our max.

Saturday Morning    9-10am

Saturday morning class is a bit more suited for those who want a gentler class. There are usually fewer people so i can give you more attention. I very occasionally let beginners into this class, but only if i have assessed them on a one to one first and know that they can cope with the level of stability needed.

No need to book a course just drop In

Once I have assessed that you can join a class you are welcome to attend either/ both classes, depending on current student numbers (Please ask). I know how busy life can be at times and because of that, i don't make you commit to a course of sessions per term. Both my classes are drop-in sessions. The only thing i ask is that you let me know if you can't make it, I send a poll out at the beginning of the week on Whats App, or you can drop me an email. Just so i have an idea of numbers.

Health Screening

Before attending a class i will get you to fill in a health screening questionnaire, so i know about any issues or injuries you may have, and whether we need to adapt any exercises.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining a class. I like to do a one to one session prior to you attending a class. This allows me to assess your suitability for the class, look at how you move, understand any issues you may have and make sure you understand the basic Pilates principles.

What to expect

I bring in a lot of different elements to my class. With my background as a Physiotherapist, I feel confident to add whatever exercises i think may be beneficial to the group. There will often be a few Yoga moves (Yoga is fantastic for flexibility), balancing exercises, use of some Pilates small equipment  -usually the foam roller or the magic circle, and I always do a guided relaxation at the close of the class to give the mind a little bit of rest and focus.

What to bring

Classes are run in Debden Village Hall, and you will need to bring a mat with you and a small towel to support your head. A small bottle of water is also recommended.

We work barefoot, and most people wear socks, but do be prepared to take them off for some balancing exercises.

All the Pilates equipment is provided.
